the ingredients to make a scooby snack shot - coconut rum, melon liqueur, heavy cream, pineapple juice, whipped cream.

What's in a scooby snack shot?

Only 5 simple ingredients and only a few minutes of your time are needed to make this scooby shot!

  • Coconut Rum
  • Pineapple Juice
  • Melon Liqueur - a lot of recipes call for midori melon liqueur but any brand will do!
  • Heavy Cream - my favorite ingredient. Heavy cream is the secret to ultra creamy and smooth shots!
  • Topped with Whipped Cream and garnished with maraschino cherries!

How to make a Scooby Snack Shot

  1. Then pour in coconut rum, pineapple juice, melon liqueur, and heavy cream. '
  2. Add ice cubes to a shaker cup.

Tips

  • Make this into a blue scooby snack shot by swapping melon liqueur for blue caracao.
  • Add the whipped cream on top just before serving! This ensures the whipped cream doesn't melt into the shot.
  • Add creme de banana / banana liqueur to your scooby doo shot for an even creamier/rich tropical flavor.

Substitutions

  • For a dairy free option, I recommend either omitting the heavy cream completely or using full-fat coconut cream instead. Just be sure to shake well and ensure the mixture is smooth. You can also use vegan heavy whipping cream.
  • For a mocktail version of these scooby snack shots, add cream of coconut instead of rum. Also replace melon liqueur with a melon puree - the shots will be thicker but will be absolutely delicious!
