Strawberry Lemon Elderflower Smash for your thirsty Thursday needs! I hope that you have been enjoying these thirsty Thursday cocktails. I don't drink much at all, but I have been loving experimenting with flavors for cocktails. It's been a fun way to take a break from cooking and experiment with something different.

I've always loved the taste of elderflower, it's such a fragrant and delicate taste. Strawberry and lemon flavors simply remind me of summer and with all of the talk of Fall, this is my way of holding onto summer for just a little while longer! Plus, aren't strawberry and lemon just so delicious when combined?

Why do I call this a "smash"? Well, because you literally smash up the strawberries and add them to lemon juice, tequila, and elderflower liqueur. This is another cocktails that's super easy. No need to make or buy simple syrup, all you need are strawberries, lemons, elderflower liqueur, and tequila. Smash the strawberries with a pestle and mortar (or a potato masher, it all works the same!). Juice one lemon, add a shot of tequila, one tablespoon of sugar, and two shots of elderflower liqueur. Shake it up and boom, there you have it, a really delicious drink to celebrate the "almost' end of the work week!

Does anyone have any cool plans for the remainder of summer? My 30th birthday is coming up and my Husband and I are going on a trip for the first time since our Honeymoon and I could not be more excited! Furthermore, we're going back to a place that we LOVE and where we fell in love, so I'm literally counting down the day until I can turn on my out of office and enjoy a long road trip and vacation with the Hubs!
