Before I made this blueberry lemon drop recipe, my favorite cocktail was a classic lemon drop martini. But dare I say that this blueberry twist is even better?!

The fruity flavor with the already citrusy drink takes the classic cocktail up a notch (or two) and makes it such a refreshing and sweet drink! Besides blueberry and lemon go together like peanut butter and jelly.

Why You’ll Love this Cocktail Recipe

  • Simple Ingredients! There’s 5 ingredients for this easy martini recipe!
  • Easy to make! Simply add everything to a cocktail shaker and shake – it’s so simple to make!
  • Refreshing twist on a classic martini! If you’re looking for something new and different that’s also delicious, this is the cocktail for you!
  • The perfect happy hour drink!

Ingredients

  • Fresh blueberries – the fresh blueberries are muddled into juice
  • Blueberry Preserves – blueberries by themselves are great and have a nice amount of juice – but preserves really up that natural blueberry flavor without needed to make syrups or buying blueberry vodka etc.
  • Fresh Lemon Juice – if you can, use fresh lemons for the best flavor!
  • Vodka or Gin – either work here! I prefer vodka as it has less flavor and lets the blueberry and lemon really shine here, but gin also compliments the floral notes of the blueberry. Dealer’s choice!
  • Triple Sec – triple sec is an orange flavored liqueur that plays up the citrusy lemon flavor.

Variations

  • Try making your own homemade blueberry syrup to up that blueberry flavor!
  • Use blueberry vodka or lemon vodka to enhance the flavors.
  • Make this into a lavender cocktail by adding a little lavender simple syrup.
