I love a themed charcuterie board, just check out this summer charcuterie board, breakfast charcuterie board, and this holiday charcuterie board! It’s a spooky twist on a traditional charcuterie board and has a variety of meats, themed snacks, and Halloween cookies! (I skipped the candy corn because it’s not my thing but of course you can add that if you want)
This unique charcuterie board is the perfect centerpiece for your next halloween party. The spooky decor make it an ideal way merge fun halloween food with party food. It mixes a classic cheese board with a halloween-themed board.
Best part? It’s a cool conversation starter and with a little planning, you can really make the perfect charcuterie board!
What to use for the Perfect Halloween Charcuterie Board

Pick your Board
Step one is to pick out a cutting board that will hold enough food for the amount of people you are serving. Tally up your guest list and use a board that will serve a little bit more people (I always like having more as opposed to less). I used an extra large board in the photos and it help everything perfectly. I’ve always found that using a larger board gives your more room to add different textures and small bowls if that’s what you’re using!
For a spooky charcuterie board, you can use a coffin shaped board or pumpkin shaped board that’s on par with the halloween decorations during this spooky season.
Meats to Use
I use a mix of traditional meat – prosciutto, salami, and sopressata. Another great addition would be chorizo, iberico ham, and mortadella! The key is to use meats that pair well with the other foods that you’re going to add to your halloween cheese board.
Most of these meats can be found at the grocery store, I went to Trader Joe’s for the majority of these!
Cheeses
My favorite part! Be sure to use high quality cheeses. Personally, I like a mix of semi-soft cheeses, semi-hard, and hard cheeses like brie cheese, smoked gouda, mozzarella balls, and cheddar. I also love adding goat cheese to go with honey and fresh berries – such a great combination. Don’t forget to serve with a cheese knife or a small spoon for scooping!
Pro tip: if you’re storing your cheeses in the refrigerator, let them sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes prior to serving.
Fruits and Veggies
For this festive halloween charcuterie board, I wanted to use spooky looking fruits and veggies. This includes
- blackberries
- rambutans (again, from Trader Joe’s)
- figs
- caramel apples
- dried fruit
- baby carrots
- sliced celery
- fresh broccoli
- sliced peppers
Fruits and veggies all make this halloween board both fun and healthy.
Crackers and Breads
- Toasted Sourdough Bread
- Rice Crackers
- Water Crackers
- Wheat Crackers
Tips: make sandwiches and use halloween cookie cutters to make little spooky shaped sandwiches! You can also use small cookie cutters to cut any soft cheeses you decide to use!
Spreads
Honey, fig jam, apricot jam, or any of your favorite preserves go extremely well with charcuterie and crackers. For savory dips to go with your veggies, ranch dressing, honey mustard, and blue cheese are all delicious pairings!

Pro tip: fill any empty spots with fresh herbs or nuts to make the board look nice and full!
How to make an Easy Halloween Charcuterie Board
- Start with larger items first. Place things like cheeses, bowls, and larger halloween decorations on the on the board. Depending on the size of your board, place them sporadically around the board leaving a lot of empty spaces to fill with the remainder of the items. (see exactly what I used in the recipe card below for exact quantities)
- Then add the meats and other medium sized food items.
- Now comes the fun part – add the fruits, dried fruits, cookies, pretzel sticks etc.
- Lastly, add the smaller halloween decorations as a garnish on top.
