I don't bake cakes often, but when I do, I make Strawberry Rose Maple Cakes with Champagne Buttercream! Just kidding, I bake cakes all of the time and experimenting with flavors is always so much fun. When I saw that Runamok Maple was doing a limited release Strawberry Rose maple syrup, I knew that I had to use it in a recipe! The taste of the strawberry rose maple syrup is simply beautiful. I cannot think of any other way to describe it. It's light, floral, and sweet and as soon as I tasted it, I knew exactly how I wanted to use it.
I adore Runamok's maple syrup and use it frequently! The taste is unparalleled to any maple syrup that I've ever had. Their Sugarmaker's cut, which is a maple syrup that is harvested when the flavor of the syrup is at its peak, is heavenly. It's rich and smooth and has so many beautiful notes. In addition, Runamok pushes the bar and has several flavors of infused maple syrup including cinnamon and vanilla (a personal favorite), ginger root, cardamom, jasmine tea - just to name a few! They also carry seasonal flavors like this Strawberry Rose so make sure that you act fast and snag this flavor while it's available! We've teamed up to offer you 20% off of your next purchase using code "Britneybreaksbread" at checkout! (https://runamokmaple.com/)
Let's talk about this recipe! The maple syrup adds so much character to the flavor of this cake. You can taste both the maple syrup and the infused strawberry rose flavors which give the cake a distinct richness. By adding rosewater and fresh strawberries, I draw out the flavor even more! The fruity and floral combination coupled with the champagne buttercream makes this recipe bright and summery. They compliment each other so well and I cannot get enough of this cake. It's an ideal recipe for a garden party or an afternoon tea because it tastes like sophistication! I also need to add that it's very simple to make. I am so happy that I have two bottles of the strawberry rose maple syrup because I will be making this recipe for friends and family for months to come.
