Why These Are The BEST Sliders Ever

  • Perfect party food! It’s an easy appetizer that is ALWAYS a crowd favorite!
  • Simple ingredients but bold flavors! Between the creamy ranch, crispy bacon, and gooey melted cheese – this chicken bacon ranch sliders recipe packs the flavor using pantry staples.
  • Make-ahead friendly! Assemble them early and just pop them in the oven when you’re ready.
  • Kid-approved and adult-obsessed – It’s one of those rare recipes that pleases picky eaters and foodies alike.

Key Ingredients

up close chicken bacon ranch sliders on a serving tray next to a bowl of parsley and ranch.
  • I like to use Mexican Cheese Blend because you get a bunch of yummy melty cheeses all in one – however, cheddar cheese, parmesan cheese, pepper jack, or colby jack work well here too!
  • Using Rotisserie Chicken keep this a quick and easy recipe, especially if you’re prepping for a big game day party during football season or taking to a get together etc.
  • Just a touch of hot sauce adds a nice bold flavor that balances out all of the richness.
  • My Homemade Hawaiian Rolls are great for this recipe, but any soft slider buns will do!
  • Ranch Dressing is the base of the chicken filling sauce. I like to use hidden valley ranch but use what you have on hand.
  • Hidden Valley Ranch seasoning mix can be found at most grocery stores. It’s not a mandatory ingredient but does add a ton of flavor!

Substitutions and Variations

  • If you prefer, you can use any shredded chicken. Leftover rotisserie chicken is my fave because it’s easy and no cooking is required – total win. However, if you have any chicken breasts laying around that you need (or want) to use, feel free to use that instead! I don’t recommend using deli chicken or canned cooked chicken.
  • No ranch seasoning, no problem. You can simply omit it entirely and just season with garlic powder, onion powder, dill, and parsley.
  • Make your own homemade ranch dressing – I love doing this when I have time because I can customize the dressing to EXACTLY how I like it.
  • Use bacon bits if you don’t feel like making the bacon yourself. This cuts down on even more cooking time!

How To Make Bacon Chicken Ranch Sliders

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Lay bacon onto a wire rack on top of a baking sheet or a piece of aluminum foil and bake in the oven until crispy, about 15-20 minutes. Remove the bacon from the baking sheet and place onto a paper towel to remove any excess grease.
  • Increase the oven temperature to 400 degrees F.

Pro Recipe Tips

  • To prevent the buns from getting soggy, you can toast the buns in the oven before assembling. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and cut the buns in half. Toast for 5-7 minutes and then continue with the rest of the recipe.
  • Let the sliders rest for 5 minutes after baking so the sliders hold their shape when you pull them apart.
  • For an extra creamy filling, mix your ranch with a little cream cheese (about 4 oz). This also helps it hold together nicely.

How to Serve

Serve chicken bacon ranch sliders fresh out of the oven while the cheese is still melty and the buns are golden and buttery!

Pair them with potato chips, a green salad, and some potato salad on the side! For an extra pop, drizzle a little extra ranch or hot sauce on top before serving!

Recipe FAQs

How do I keep the sliders from getting soggy?

To keep your sliders from getting soggy, lightly toast the bottom buns before assembling. Also, avoid overloading the filling with too much dressing—just enough to coat the chicken is perfect. Bake uncovered for the last few minutes so the tops get golden and any excess moisture evaporates. And if you’re making them ahead, store everything separately and assemble just before baking.

Can I freeze chicken bacon ranch sliders?

Yes! Wrap the sliders tightly in foil and place in an airtight container or freezer bag. When ready to eat, thaw overnight in the fridge and reheat in the oven until warmed through and the cheese is melty.

Are there any good substitutes for ranch dressing?

Yes! a\A mix of sour cream and dry ranch seasoning is a great substitute. You can also go bold with buffalo sauce, honey mustard, or chipotle mayo.

How do I reheat leftovers without drying them out?

Wrap them in foil and warm them in a 350°F oven for about 10–15 minutes until heated through. For extra moisture, you can add a small ramekin of water to the oven to create steam—or lightly brush the tops with more melted butter before reheating. Avoid the microwave if possible, as it can make the bread rubbery and the chicken dry.

Can I make these ahead of time?

Yes! You can prep the filling and garlic butter ahead of time and assemble the sliders just before baking. Add an extra 5–10 minutes if baking straight from the fridge.
