Honey and Thyme Turkey Croissants - the tastiest little recipe that's quick and easy. This recipe is surprisingly tasty and has a nice mix of sweet and savory flavors. (If you've been to my blog before, you know sweet and savory is my favorite flavor profile!) This recipe mixes honey with herby thyme, slightly bitter arugula, Swiss cheese, and turkey. It's beyond delicious. The turkey and the Swiss cheese pull this recipe together, especially when paired with a buttery croissant.
Honey and Thyme Turkey Croissants came about just this morning. It was so good that I decided to put it on my blog. As many of you know, I'm currently working on my Holiday eCookbook. Given this, the food that I've been testing and cooking has been almost exclusively for the cookbook. We typically eat leftovers and whatever we can put together to make a meal. Hence, this recipe came about.
I had some leftover Swiss cheese, a few pecans from my recipe testing, some turkey, and honey - and I decided to put them all together on a croissant. The result was so good! It was herby, slightly sweet, and the perfect way to use leftover. I love when I can re-purpose leftover and make a delicious meal. This is one of them. Best of all, this recipe came together in under 5 minutes. Perfect lunch for a busy day.
Here at Britney Breaks Bread, we are in full swing and ready for holiday season. That includes copious amounts of baking and recipe testing! I don't know about you, but we are SO excited for this year's Thanksgiving/Christmas! With all that's going on, I simply want to sit down with my immediate family and sip hot chocolate, watch Hallmark movies, and enjoy a beautiful snowfall. Last year we didn't get any snow, so I'm hopeful that this year is different.
Like I mentioned previously, this recipe only take about 5 minutes. Usually I talk about how to make each recipe, but with this one, not much verbiage is required. You simply cut the croissant in half, lengthwise, and then add the turkey, pecans, fresh thyme, dijon mustard, honey, and Swiss cheese. And you're done.
If you make this recipe, let me know. It's SO good! Also, be sure to follow me on Instagram and Facebook!
This sandwich is so good & fast to make. I love the combo of honey, Dijon & turkey. Can't wait to make these for a family get together!
All of this on a croissant was just such a delicious experience! And you were right, it was easy and quick to make. Thanks Britney!
anytime! Thank you for giving this recipe a try, I'm so glad that you enjoyed it!
