Mix together semi-sweet chocolate chips and 1/2 cup heavy cream in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave until melted, then stir in hot chocolate mix (you can also use cocoa powder here for a less sweet dip). 1 1/2 cups Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips 1 packet Hot Cocoa Mix
In a separate large bowl, mix together remaining 1 cup of heavy cream, marshmallow fluff, vanilla extract, and a tiny pinch of salt. Use an electric hand mixer to beat until stiff peaks form. 8 oz Marshmallow Fluff2 tsp Vanilla Extract
Fold the whipped cream mixture into the chocolate mixture and mix until combined and smooth. For best results, chill for 30 minutes to allow it to firm up a bit (recommended but not mandatory, you can serve immediately).
Add to a serving bowl. Top with chocolate shavings, crushed candy canes, or mini marshmallows. Serve with your favorite dippers - animal crackers, graham crackers, apple slices, vanilla wafers or even shortbread cookies!
Notes
For a less sweet dip, use dark chocolate chips instead of semi-sweet. You can also swap out the hot cocoa packets for unsweetened cocoa powder instead (about 3-4 tbsp depending on your personal preference).
If you don't have marshmallow fluff, you can also use marshmallow creme or cool whip instead. Also, if using cool whip, leave out the heavy cream.
