Frozen roasted green beans are a crispy, flavorful side dish with minimal prep time. Perfect for busy weeknights and holiday meals!
Equipment
Baking Sheet
Skillet
Ingredients
1lbFrozen Green Beans
Salt and Black Pepper , (to taste)
3tbspSalted Butter
3clovesGarlic, (diced)
1/2tspCajun Seasoning
1tbspLemon Juice
Sliced Almonds, (for garnish)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 425°F. While it heats up, line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Spread your frozen green beans out in a single layer. Drizzle them with extra virgin olive oil and sprinkle with kosher salt and black pepper.
Roast on the top rack of the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, keeping a close eye so they don’t burn. You’re looking for golden brown edges and extra crispy green beans.
While they’re roasting, melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the diced garlic, lemon juice, and Cajun seasoning, cooking until fragrant (2-3 minutes). Set aside.
Once the beans are done roasting, toss them in the garlic butter mixture.
Transfer to a serving plate and top with sliced almonds for a final touch of nutty flavor. Garnish with flaky sea salt (optional).
Notes
Don't overcrowd your pan. Use a large baking sheet or split the green beans between two baking sheets if you need more room. Overcrowding the pan prevents the beans from crisping up.
Don’t skip the parchment paper. It prevents sticking and makes cleanup a breeze. You can also use aluminum foil, just make sure to spray the foil so that the green beans don't stick.
Toss in garlic butter immediately. The warmth from the beans will absorb all that buttery goodness.
