Notes
Substitutions
However, if you can't find whipped cream vodka, I recommend using Smirnoff's Salted Caramel Vodka, Vanilla Vodka, or Cake Vodka. If you can't find any of these, use regular vodka.
If you don't have heavy cream, you can omit this ingredient, the shots will taste delicious either way! Heavy simply smooths out the shot and lessens the taste of the alcohol.
If you don't have a cocktail shaker, you can use a mason jar with a lid or any cup with a lid. Don't have a jigger either? No problem! You can use a shot glass to measure the ingredients. One average size shot glass is 1.5 ounces so it's an easy replacement/substitute for a jigger.
Tips
Add the ice to the shots last so that the ice doesn't melt and dilute the shot.
If dipping the rim of the glass into cocoa powder, be sure to use a shallow plate or bowl.
Turn these into a german chocolate cake shot and use coconut rum instead of vodka.
I recommend placing the shot glasses into the refrigerator or freezer for about 20 minutes prior to making the shots. This makes the shots nice and cold.
If the cocoa powder rim is too chocolatey, you can make a sugar rim using white sugar instead.
