- 8 oz Brie wheel
- 3 tbsps Strawberry Preserves
- 1 tsp Fresh Thyme
- ¼ cup Sliced Almonds
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Make horizontal and vertical slits in the brie and top with strawberry preserves, fresh thyme, and almonds.
Bake for 10-15 minutes, until cheese becomes melted but isn't soupy. (TIP: press with the back of a spoon to see if the cheese has melted on the inside)
Place on a serving board and enjoy with bread, crackers, fruit, etc.
- If you're making this for a larger crowd, you can use a 16 oz wheel. (just be sure to double the rest of the ingredients in the recipe too!)
- Brie doesn't last as long as other cheeses, so be mindful of the expiration date.
- If you can't find brie, camembert works here too! If you can't find either of those, try Coulommiers or Reblochon cheeses.
- I used fresh thyme, however, if you're unable to find fresh thyme or don't have any, dried thyme will work just fine. You'd only need ¼ teaspoon if using dried thyme.
- Be sure to use round blocks of brie as opposed to the sliced brie/triangular chunks/wedges of brie.
- Don't overcook the brie! I recommend not baking it any longer than 15 minutes or else it'll get soupy. If this happens, let the cheese cool for 15 minutes.
