Chocolate Chip Christmas Tree Cookie Bars

Ingredients

  • 2 sticks salted butter, room temperature
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 ½ cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 ½ tsp Baking Soda
  • ½ tsp Kosher Salt
  • 1 tsp Corn Starch
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Add butter to a stand mixer with paddle attachment and beat for 3-4 minutes. Add brown sugar and golden sugar and continue to mix until there are no clumps, scraping down the sides of the bowl as needed. Add eggs and vanilla extract and mix for another minute.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and corn starch. Add to wet ingredients and mix for about 30 seconds, scrape down sides of bowl if needed to make sure that everything is combined.
  • Add chocolate chips and mix in with a spatula. Smooth batter into a 9x13 baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes. Allow to cool completely and then freeze for 20-30 minutes to ensure that the cookie
  • Use a Christmas tree cookie cutter to cut shapes into cookies. Decorate as you'd like!
