pork chops

Honey Soy Garlic Pork Chops are the best pork chops you'll ever make. They're full of delicious garlic, soy sauce, and a tiny bit of honey. There's also hints of ginger and red pepper flakes that really elevate this dish. Oh! In addition, these only take about 30 minutes to make.

They're so tender and juicy and perfect for meal prepping. This recipe is naturally gluten free and pairs well with just about any side. I made this with string beans and roasted potatoes but feel free to get as creative as you want!

pork chops

I made this Honey soy garlic pork chops on sunday. So, I went to the grocery store and realized that I don't remember the last time that I made pork chops. We eat chicken and beef all of the time. So, it was time to switch it up a bit. Not to mention, pork is so underrated. I went into the kitchen and just started cooking.

In true fashion, I ALWAYS make the recipe twice (at least) before posting to the blog. But with this recipe, I had to make it three times because after making it once, my husband said "You can't not put this on the blog". lol After his first bite, he said "damn this is good". And honestly, I love this sort of response. So, I hope that when you make this you feel the same way!

honey soy garlic - yum?!

This recipe is also super simple. It take about 30 minutes to make - start to finish. What I love about this recipe is that the pork chops turned out to tender and juicy. I've learned to actually cook pork according to itself as opposed to cooking it like chicken. Otherwise, it turns out dry. Pork is more akin to beef - you can easily over cook it and dry it out! This is what we want to avoid. Side note - honey soy garlic?! Yum. This flavor profile is everything.

how do you cook pork chops?

It's really quite simple. You can cook pork chops however you like, but my favorite method is by searing on the stove top and finishing it up in the oven. I like to cook them at 400 degrees F because it allows them to cook thoroughly a little quicker while maintaining texture and taste. Like I mentioned previously, these pork chops are JUICY. Even a few days later. I ate my final leftovers today (2 days later) and they were still super flavorful and juicy and yummy!

for honey soy garlic pork chops, should I use bone-in pork chops or boneless loin?

This is a frequently asked question! You can use either, HOWEVER, the bone-in pork chops are more flavorful and tend to hold their moisture better. This means that the bone in pork chops yield a juicier and tastier result. It may be a bit pricier to use bone-in pork chops, but it's so worth it. Also, doesn't it look fancy? I love the aesthetic of using meats with the bone in. But that's just me!

how long does it take to make this recipe?

It takes about 30 minutes to make this recipe. You start by seasoning the pork chops (seasoning listed below). Then you heat olive oil and butter in a cast iron skillet. Sear the pork chops on both sides. Remove the pork chops from the skillet and then add garlic, soy sauce, and honey. Bring to a boil, add chicken stock, and add the pork chops back into the skillet. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Then you're done! It's THAT simple. No fancy ingredients, no long wait times - just a simple and delicious dinner in 30 minutes flat.

Also, I made this with string beans and potatoes and honestly, it was DELICIOUS. When the pork chops were finished, I simply use the "gravy" and added frozen string beans and cut up some red potatoes. I roasted them for about 15 minutes and boom - dinner is served!
